Important: ABS plastic becomes brittle when exposed to sunlight for a long time. To use products made of ABS plastic on the street, we recommend to cover it with paint or use filament ASA.

ABS dissolves in acetone, which can be used to smooth the walls of the product and improve its appearance.

Before you buy ABS plastic, you should consider certain limitations for this filament.

ABS plastic is demanding to the technical characteristics of the 3D printer itself (operating temperatures, table heating). It is also not superfluous to use the filament in a closed-type FDM printer, as temperature changes caused by air conditioning or drafts can significantly affect the quality and durability of the product.

You should also be aware of the toxic gases produced during the melting process of ABS plastic - hence the need to ventilate with effective ventilation. It is highly undesirable that people are constantly near the device during printing.
