При использовании в конструкции 3д принтера или ЧПУ станка данный тип подшипников способствует уменьшению износа валов и нагрузки на ременные или винтовые пары.
Key Features
- Open Design: The SCS bearings feature an open design, which makes them easy to install and maintain.
- High Load Capacity: These bearings can support significant loads, making them suitable for a variety of applications.
- Durable Construction: Made from high-quality materials, SCS bearings are built to withstand wear and tear, ensuring a long service life.
- Versatile Applications: Ideal for use in CNC machines, 3D printers, and other precision equipment requiring linear motion.
Characteristics
- Smooth Operation: Provides smooth and efficient movement, reducing friction and wear on both the bearing and the shaft.
- Adjustable Play: Some models include an adjustment mechanism to eliminate play, ensuring accurate positioning and stability during operation.
- Compatibility: Designed to work with standard cylindrical shafts, allowing for easy integration into existing systems.
- Temperature Resistance: Capable of operating in a range of temperatures, maintaining performance under varying conditions.
Applications
SCS linear bearings are commonly used in:
- CNC Machines: For precise positioning and movement.
- 3D Printers: To facilitate smooth and accurate printing.
- Automated Equipment: In various industrial applications requiring reliable linear motion.
Selection Considerations
When selecting an SCS linear bearing, consider the following parameters:
- Inner Diameter: Ensure compatibility with your shaft size.
- Overall Dimensions: Verify that the bearing fits within your assembly.
- Dynamic Load Rating: Choose a bearing that can handle the expected load during operation.
Types of SCS Linear Bearings
There are two main types of SCS linear bearings:
Open Bearings:
These bearings feature a wide cut, allowing for operational flexibility on shafts supported by linear-type supports. The bearing housing is made from high-alloy carbon steel, providing durability and strength.
Closed Bearings:These are the most popular models used in most systems that operate on linear motion principles. Their components are made from carbon steel, polymer materials, and vulcanized rubber. The mechanism is equipped with sealing rings on both sides. Closed linear bearings are designed for shafts without supports, preventing contamination of lubricants, ensuring smooth movement along the shaft, reducing thermal load, and enhancing both longevity and overall reliability.
- Sleeve and Separator: These can be made from two types of materials: steel and polyamide.
- Balls: Made from alloyed steel.
Operation
The SCS series of ball linear bearings are designed for use with polished SFC shafts and feature minimal radial play. Their construction in a housing simplifies both design and installation.
Closed-type linear bearings are pre-lubricated during manufacturing and may be equipped with plastic or rubber gaskets. Split bearings allow for adjusting the play of the product on the shaft. The presence of a split sleeve enables the housing to be tightened to the required parameters using adjusting screws. When installing, precise adjustments (up to half a micron) must be maintained.
Open linear bearings are easy to install and replace the lubricant. They provide excellent cooling and a low coefficient of friction.
